Creation 2013

Prelude, overture, introduction (“Vorspiel” in German)…

A work in three parts, with, each time, two performers, and a sound or musical guest. Three studies with the same purpose: “to question what came before, what is in the making, examine construction and deconstruction.”

Vorspiel refers to a time dedicated to experimentation,encounters and exchanges.

A space for research too; or more accurately, research on space.

More than on moods, here indeed, Emmanuel Eggermont works on architectures (of the place, dramaturgy, bodies).

Through this series of “almost choreographic objects” Vorspiel seeks to offer the possibility of special moments, spaces and times for spirituality, for meditation.

To reinvent itself with every performance,

This project is designed to fit in spaces which are not necessarily traditional theaters with a frontal relationship between the stage and the auditorium; instead, these can be as different as a large hall, an outdoor courtyard, museum...

Every performance is a new opportunity to invite a new guest to join the project
